2026 Scholarship Winners - Adriadne Zirlott
Dance School: Mobile Ballet
Ariadne Zirlott has been dancing with Mobile Ballet since she was three years old. At the age of 12, she is beginning her second year as a member of Mobile Ballet’s Junior Company in the 2025-26 season. Most recently, Ariadne performed in the studio’s production of The Phantom of the Opera, but has also danced in the supporting cast for The Nutcracker, The Princess and the Frog, A Midsummer's Night Dream, and Sleeping Beauty. Ariadne will be attending her first Universal Ballet Competition this year, and will dance the Gulnara Act III variation from Le Corsaire.
With the support of her family, Ariadne switched from in-person learning, to virtual school, in order to attend Mobile Ballet’s daytime Academy training program. She is able to maintain her advanced placement status academically, while also training upwards of 18 hours a week. While sacrifices have been made in order to pursue her dreams of one day becoming a professional dancer, Ariadne says she welcomes the challenge and finds so much joy in her art. This scholarship will enable her to continue that training and do what she loves.
Ariadne enjoys dancing in the living room while watching movies with her family– even if one of her dogs sometimes gets in the way of her pirouettes! Her favorite moments are the ones warming-up before a theatre performance, where she's surrounded by music, the spotlight has yet to brighten the stage, and the thrill of what's to come is imminent. Her dream roles are to one day dance as Clara in The Nutcracker, and Giselle in the ballet Giselle.
